Ferragamo Hosts Cocktail Reception in Celebration of Sponsorship of the
Inaugural Gala for the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts

Wallis Annenberg, Jamie Tisch and James Ferragamo hosted a cocktail reception Friday, May 3 announcing the October 17, 2013 Inaugural Gala for the Grand Opening of the WALLIS ANNENBERG CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS with its presenting sponsor, SALVATORE FERRAGAMO, as well as Celebrity Honorary Chairpersons.

During the cocktail reception at the Gagosian Gallery, gala Co Chair, Jamie Tisch, announced celebrity Co Chairs Robert Redford and Brad Pitt thus far for the exciting October 17th gala which will kickoff with a Salvatore Ferragamo fashion show of Creative Director Massimiliano Giornettis, Spring Summer 2014 collection at the site the day prior.

Wallis Annenberg and Jamie Tisch co-chaired the star studded event which celebrated the Annenberg’s transformation of an entire Beverly Hills city block into a vibrant new cultural destination with two distinct buildings; the historic 1934 Italianate-style Beverly Hills Post Office and the new 500-seat, state-of-the art Goldsmith Theater.

The evening will unveil the 2.5 acre center and present a performance in the Goldsmith Theatre created exclusively for the gala. Following the performance, the night will continue with dinner and dancing. The Inaugural Gala highlights a week-long series of opening events including an exclusive runway presentation of Salvatore Ferragamo’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection in the Historic Post Office on the eve of the gala.

Guests at the May 3 kickoff cocktail reception were treated to a presentation of Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti’s highly acclaimed Fall/Winter 2013 runway collection. Marking its US debut, the Fall/Winter 2013 collection will be on preview for a trunk show throughout the weekend at the Salvatore Ferragamo Rodeo Drive flagship.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
