Aston Martin is today revealing a short video featuring Spectre stunt driver Mark Higgins at the wheel of James Bond’s newest Aston Martin – the DB10.

007 will once again drive an Aston Martin in the forthcoming James Bond film Spectre.

On this occasion it will be the stunning Aston Martin DB10 - a model developed specifically for the film and built in-house by Aston Martin's design and engineering teams.

The video will be released at 14.00 BST on Friday 11 September

 The DB10 was developed specifically for Spectre and just ten examples have been built. The exclusive sports car celebrates Aston Martin’s half century association with James Bond, which started with the iconic DB5.

One of Britain’s most revered manufacturers, Aston Martin, will be celebrated in grand style at this autumn’s inaugural Classic & Sports Car – The London Show, with an incredible collection of the luxury brand’s most iconic models.

Headlining the stunning feature will be Aston Martin’s oldest-surviving model – ‘A3’. Dating from 1921 this historic motor car was the fourth of five prototypes built by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin, the original founders of the Aston Martin brand.

It will be just one car in a must-see Aston Martin centerpiece feature at Alexandra Palace, which will also include one of the brand’s newest and most spectacular models, alongside a host of exquisite examples of the brand’s most revered and famous cars.

All will carry incredible stories and offer fascinating snapshots of the development of the Aston Martin brand: ‘A3’ brings a direct link to the dawn of the firm. Donated for the event by the Aston Martin Heritage Trust (AMHT), ‘A3’ has been painstakingly restored over a three-year period, in a project masterminded by the world specialist in pre-war Aston Martin models,

Built on a Rubery-Owen frame and powered by a 1,486cc monobloc engine, it was fitted with several body styles during its early years. As such, there was much discussion over which bodywork it should be restored with. AMHT decided on a touring version, which was recreated from only old photographs as no original drawings were available. The finished classic was unveiled on 18^th April 2009 and has continued to be a halo car for AMHT.

Renowned Italian couture fabric and lace maker Emilia Burano is collaborating with iconic British luxury sports car brand Aston Martin to produce a collection of bespoke fabrics.

The Venetian textile company, known all over the world for its refined product range, will present several new high quality, authentically designed fabric collections at the next edition of the prestigious Maison&Objet lifestyle trade show in Paris in September. 

The Paris exhibition is the first project between Emilia Burano and Aston Martin, a collaboration between two luxury and craftsmanship-led success stories. In the materials to be showcased at the event the tradition of Emilia Burano designer Lorenzo Ammendola, who creates opulent home collections in a modern version of Burano lace, meets the finesse and elegant design of Aston Martin.

The Aston Martin Collection consists of five refined selections to complement bedroom, dining room, bathroom and spa – all sharing the same characteristics of quality and high luxury.

Emilia Burano is based on Burano – a pretty and vibrant island in the Venetian Lagoon – and uses the unique ‘Sateen 100% silk cut, 650 thread count’, a one-of-a-kind cotton weave handmade specifically for Aston Martin. This very special cotton comes from a specific small area on the Nile Delta, where rain and high humidity combine to produce ideal cotton-growing conditions. The superior quality cotton is harvested by hand in different stages, in each of which the bolls have matured to the optimum point and are extremely soft and supple. In turn, the strength of the fibre makes the fabrics they create more strong and yet more resistant to wear: perfect for the Aston Martin Collection. 

The other precious material used in this collection is linen. For its ‘Puro Lino 100%’ collection Emilia Burano uses only linen made in Italy, thereby guaranteeing excellence and 100% traceability at each stage of processing.
